Sneak Preview:

Since moving to Melrose the only thing we have found lacking is a local bookstore.

Well, the wait is almost over, soon we will be welcoming Molly's Bookstore at 667 Main Street.

Andrea, the owner is putting the finishing touches on this amazing space. The area will be transformed from piles of packed boxes to shelves lined with books, gifts, educational items, stuff animals, magic wands and more.

There will be comfortable nooks to read. Downstairs will be a children’s and young adult area for story time and events.

The shop has plenty of natural light and will be hosting book clubs.

The space previously was a yoga studio and has lots of positive energy.

It was so nice to chat with Andrea, an immigrant from Guatemala, and her delightful daughter, Emma who was busy reading a pre-released book. They live here in Melrose and both have a passion for books and reading.

The book store is named after the family’s dog, Molly, a Newfoundlander.

I believe Molly’s will be a destination shop, after all can you ever have too many books?

In a few weeks, you will be able to shop, peruse, enjoy, visit, learn and purchase unique books and gifts. Molly’s Bookstore, an independent and woman owned business will be a fabulous addition to Melrose.

We can’t wait until it opens its doors and invites us all in to read a book. Many adventures await.
