Every town needs a cheerleader. Melrose has an Olympic-level one – Stephanie Nelson.
You know Stephanie as the executive director of the Chamber of Commerce. She is the driving force behind many events including the Victorian Fair to be held next week on Sept 8.
Stephanie is a true Melrosian – she lives in the same multi-generational house she grew up in. A Melrose alumna, she was on the field hockey, track, and tennis teams.
Before joining the Chamber, she worked for the Red Sox. She is an ardent baseball fan – she has been to 17 major league baseball stadiums.
During Stephanie’s tenure at the Chamber, she has increased membership to over 300 members. Her passion is connecting people.
In her spare time, she golfs, travels, and entertains.
What she thinks is quirky about Melrose – the love-hate relationship people have with the speed humps.
