Summer Stroll 2025

stroll

On Friday evening, hundreds of Melrosians came out to Main Street for the 12th Annual Summer Stroll. Residents enjoyed dining al fresco, listening to live music, ducking into the shops along Main Street, and spending time with one another.

Live music at the event was provided by two jazz groups - the Oren Santillo Jazz Collective and Violet & Co - and pop standards from singers of the Polymnia Choral Society on the upper end of Main Street; hip-hop and Afrobeat from DJ Frixx on the lower end; and some of the musicians who frequent the open mic nights at the Knights of Columbus on West Foster Street. Dancers from Dance Track performed twice, in different parts of Main Street.

Attendees also gave back to the community by providing goods for the Food Drive's Summer Stock event. If you missed out on donating during the Summer Stroll, Buckalew's will be collecting pantry staples for the local food pantries all summer.

While the weather forecast may have looked concerning earlier in the day, thunderstorms and rain showers held off, and attendees were able to enjoy a beautiful summer evening outside.

The Summer Stroll provides a wonderful opportunity for Melrosians to spend time together and enjoy one another's company. It's no wonder this is many people's favorite summer event in town!
