Smart kids live in Melrose!

I love seeing that sign every time I enter the city — and now’s your chance to see these smart kids in action.

The Nor’Easter Robotics Tournament is like the Super Bowl of robotics!

Sixteen of the region’s top robotics teams will battle it out in an all-weekend showdown of brains, bots, and pure excitement. These teams will compete in the 2025 robotics game, REEFSCAPE, with challenges themed around the ocean, bringing a perfect storm of innovation, engineering and teamwork to Melrose.

The Red Hawk Robotics Team

Hosted by Melrose High Robotics Team, Red Hawk Robotics and the Revere High NEUTRONS. This high-energy event will take place at the Melrose Middle School Gym on Saturday, September 20, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Admission is free.

Robotics isn’t just about building machines — it’s about building minds. Students gain skills in problem-solving, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. These experiences boost confidence, teach real-world problem-solving, and prepare them for future academic and career opportunities.

We have a ton of participation within the community for this event. Dorie Withey will be helping with our keynote kickoff. WPI is going to be on site, aggressively recruiting the high school top talent that is assembled.

This event has support from the Melrose community, including Comella’s, Santa Fe, Big Fin Poke, Mexico Lindo, Sweet Spot Bakery, and Bohemian Coffee.

Come witness the storm, feel the excitement, and cheer on our talented Melrose Robotic Teams.
