Sometimes you come across a place with the perfect name — and Jitters Café on Main Street is exactly that.
This cozy Melrose gem serves up exquisite coffee alongside a wide variety of drinks, including hot and iced coffee, cold brew, creamy lattes, and bold nitro coffee. Every sip pairs perfectly with their freshly baked muffins, scones, pastries, and creative breakfast staples.
They have every coffee you can think of – if you get a large cappuccino, trust me, you will love it but might develop the jitters.
They have the best bagels in Melrose. Their breakfast sandwiches are made with fresh eggs and served on bagels or croissants. The Sergeant sandwich is legendary and I have heard people rave about their blueberry muffins and chocolate chip cookies. The Nutella banana croissant is next-level.
You cannot go wrong with any of their paninis. I have eaten my way through the lunch menu. My favorites include the reuben, chicken salad, and chicken pesto, but all the sandwiches are excellent. The innovative salads are freshly constructed!
The menu is on the smaller side, but I like that - it means they are doing these items well and are able to use fresh ingredients.
The service is friendly and welcoming. The warm, laid-back atmosphere — with comfy couches, tables, and free Wi-Fi — makes it the ideal spot for a quick coffee break, a relaxed meet-up with friends, or a quiet place to catch up on work.
