Melrose Wakefield Hospital

Melrosians are fortunate to have a hospital right in town.
Unfortunately, I needed a visit to the emergency room — but I couldn’t have asked for better care.
Despite the natural anxiety that comes with an ER visit, my experience was surprisingly positive. From the moment I arrived, the staff was attentive, professional, and compassionate. Check-in was quick, and I was triaged within minutes by a nurse who immediately helped me feel at ease.
The nurses and PA were thorough and patient, taking the time to explain everything clearly and answer all my questions. The nursing and support staff were kind, reassuring, and constantly checking on me to make sure I was comfortable. Every conversation I overheard was filled with genuine compassion and care.
The environment itself was clean, organized, and calm, which made a stressful situation much more manageable. I was diagnosed, treated, and discharged promptly with clear instructions for follow-up care.
I left feeling truly cared for and confident in the treatment I received.
This experience was a powerful reminder of how essential, skilled, and compassionate emergency room professionals are — and how fortunate we are to have them in our community.
