I think Melrose Oriental Rugs’ name is a misnomer – they have so much more than oriental rugs. With over 5000 carpets in stock – various sizes, shapes, colors, patterns, and styles including tribal.
It can feel as overwhelming as Heartbreak Hill with so many options but have no fear – Dave will help you cross the finish line.
We made an appointment for him to view our condo - the colors, décor, and room arrangement. Dave showed us a few ideas on his phone and returned to the shop choosing a collection of rugs that he thought would fit our needs. Dave laid down the sample rugs and it was so easy to decide when you see what the rug looks like in your own space.
This in-home shopping is an amazing benefit. Dave also gave us some suggestions on our current rugs, his advice to turn a rug really pulled the room together and made a big impact.
Staying power in business is related to focus on customer service and expertise. Melrose Oriental Rugs was started by Dave’s parents in 1978. Dave and his sisters, Lora and Carol, grew up in Melrose. They have been working at the store since they were young. A family business, Dave’s daughters, Elena and Lisa, also work part time.
