The hills of Melrose are alive with music — bagpipe music!
The Commonwealth Pipes and Drums are a competitive bagpipe band based at the Knights of Columbus.
They consistently earn top placements in competitions across the East Coast and Canada. In 2024, they secured first place in Grade 3 at the Celtic Classic in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Will you help send them to Glasgow, Scotland, where they will showcase their talents on the international stage at the World Pipe Band Championships this summer?
To support this endeavor, they are organizing a fundraiser, An Unforgettable Evening of Celtic Music, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus in Melrose.
The event will feature performances by The Commonwealth Pipe Band and the Celtic fusion rock band Rebel Collective.
They will be showcasing Melrose High School student Audrey Davies. Audrey has been dancing since she was six and is a national Highland dance champion.
Attendees can also participate in a silent auction and a 50-50 raffle. Tickets are $25 and are available through Eventbrite. Please come and show your support!
