Melrose Kind

• The month's Melrose Kind drive is an important one, because with every sock donated, we are honoring Scott Forbes. Scott was a wonderful guy -- and committed community member -- and one of the very first Melrosians to embrace the MK mission. We still hear him saying ‘I like it! I like it!’.
• NEW socks are the most requested items by the housing insecure, and homeless veterans were near and dear to Scott's heart. As we’ve done in past years, we will donate to Scott's mission at the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center.
• Scott – you are missed dearly, and we hope to make you proud continuing this important work.

Memorial Day Food Drive

• The Melrose Veterans Advisory Board will be holding a food drive to support veterans in honor of Memorial Day. The food drive will take place in front of Shaw's on Saturday, May 17th from 8am to 4pm.

Memorial Day Breakfast

• Volunteers needed to donate for the Veterans Breakfast on Friday, May 23rd at the middle school. Please go to Deb Walz's Facebook page to see the list of items needed. If you are able to donate an item or two, please comment what you are able on my page. Thank you.
