Keeping Melrosians Informed Since 2024

Give Back to Our Community

Melrose Kind

  • Our April Drive is NEW SOCKS for veterans, supporting the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center.
  • This month's MelroseKind drive is an important one, because with every sock donated, we are honoring Scott Forbes. Scott wasn't just a wonderful guy and committed community member, he was also a Kindness Warrior of the highest degree. Scott was one of the very first Melrosians to embrace our mission and his sock drive ("just leave them on the porch!") inspired our Kindness Porch Drives.
  • Please consider giving new sock (men's, women's, children's) to support our veterans and their families. Please consider buying from the Amazon Wish List or donating to one of our porches:
  • 249 Grove Street
  • Hinge Fitness - 18 Oak Grove Ave
  • Follow Your Art - 647 Main Street

Little Free Pantries

From Kim Quan

  • We need more donations for the Little Free Pantries! All you have to do is just click on the Amazon wish list and we will deliver!
  • Since school is out, the kids won’t be getting their free lunches if they need them, so if we could have the little pantries filled with items that will support families in need!
  • Thank you all again, we really do appreciate all that you have done so far!

The Food Drive

  • The Food Drive is always looking for new volunteers for food rescue and donations to help end hunger in our community. You can also sign up to make meals for the Community Freezer. Learn more at their website.

The Bridge

  • Interested in volunteering in the Melrose Public Schools? Learn more at The Bridge, which coordinates volunteer placements in the schools.
