• June is here which means another way of giving is coming your way. Hope for Boston's Homeless is in need of ADULT flip flops which are important to the homeless as they are easy to get on and off and most importantly many need to use them in public showers. They are easy to replace if stolen and fit nicely in their bags. Let’s try to help those most vulnerable.

Swap Day Needs Volunteers!

• The Zero Waste Melrose spring Swap Day is just around the corner — and we need more volunteers to run an organized, effective swap without DPW staff.
• What volunteers will do: event setup, move items from the drop-off area to tables, organize items on tables, and cleanup after the swap closes. The swap is like a fun, busy pop-up store with constantly changing inventory. Swap volunteers are welcome to take items as well.
• In the sign-up form, you can select a specific job or a general “swap staff” shift. When signing up to volunteer, please select each time slot and activity you’re interested in. Shorter and longer shifts are available, and pitching in for multiple time slots (like a late morning shift plus cleanup) is greatly appreciated.
• Come for a couple of hours or stay for the whole event! Online sign-up is available here!
