Victorian Fair Coming This Sunday

The Melrose Chamber of Commerce is preparing to host the 43rd annual Victorian Fair this Sunday, September 8th on Main Street from 11am to 4pm. The fair will feature booths for many local businesses and community organizations, carnival rides, food, entertainment, and more.

Also on September 8th, Follow Your Art will be hosting a free community celebration for their 5th birthday. Stop by between 10am and 12pm, before you head to the fair, for live music from the Peanut Gallery, cake from Sweet Spot, and a community sculpture project with LATTICE WORK.

The Friends of the Melrose Public Library will also be holding a book sale at the temporary library space at the Beebe School between 11am and 2pm.

North American Amusement

The carnival rides and inflatables at the Victorian Fair, intended for participants of all ages, will be run by North American Amusement in the parking lot behind Santa Fe Burrito. Make sure to bring cash to purchase tickets on site.

The Ride Cafe, the Pedestrian and Bicyclist Committee, and Safe Routes to School will be collaborating on a Bike Corner at Main Street and East Foster Street, featuring free bike and stroller valet, a kids’ bike rodeo, $5 bike tune-ups, and more.

Drawings will also take place for the Big Ticket Raffle. Prizes include donations from several local businesses and organizations.
